Testing for Quality Assurance

Our works is equipped with all requisite testing facilities for quality assurances. Each transformer is tested for all tests conforming to  IS:2026 by qualified and experience engineers with precision grade instruments. The following routine tests taken :

• Measurement of Voltage ratio, HV & LV Winding resistance, insulation resistance.
• Check up of vector group and polarity.
• Induced over voltage test at double voltage and double frequency.
• Separate source high voltage test of HV side and LV side.
• Measurement of no load losses and magnetizing current.
• Measurement of load losses and impedance voltage.
• Measurement of zero sequence current.
• Check up of B.D.V.  of transformer oil. (Test certificates are issued with each transformer.)
• Measurement of Temperature rise test – On Optional basis.
  
  

  Additional Testing

  1. Short circuit withstand test.
  2. Impulse voltage withstand test. (Both these type tests  can be arranged at ERDA, Vadodara, C.P.R.I. Bhopal / Bangalore and other recognized laboratories on payment if required by the customer).
